Parent Involvement

We encourage parents to get involved in our College and come up with ideas for programs to help their families, the College and the neighbourhood.

Parents are important partners with us in their child’s learning.

What can I currently get involved in?

Paint Doveton REaD

This initiative encourages the whole community to read, talk, sing and rhyme with children from birth, so that they will be ready for reading and writing at school. Paint The Town REaD encourages local ownership by engaging the whole of community i.e. the butcher, the police, local sports people and all parents to promote and recognise that early literacy is fun and for everyone to get involved in.

A group of Doveton College parents are keen to Paint Doveton REaD.   If you would like to get involved please speak to the community team.

PAG – Parent Advisory Group

A group of parents that meet regularly to discuss issues relating to the school and to feedback to staff ideas and concerns.  Some members of this group are also involved in Fundraising activities.
