Dear Parent/carers,

The Premier of Victoria has announced some further restrictions in addition to those already in place in the current lockdown.

Early Learning Centres are now only open to children who have authorised parents/carers and those who are vulnerable.

Parents/carers who are authorised workers must provide a copy of their authorised worker permit in order for their child/children to attend.

If you believe that your child is eligible to attend please contact the College 08765 0111 from 7am on Monday morning.

Unless your child is in one of these categories they are not able to attend the ELC at this time.

The Victorian government has put these restrictions in place to protect the health and safety of children and staff, and to reduce the movement of people in the community.

We have not had any positive cases or close contacts in the Doveton College community and we continue to implement our COVIDsafe plan to minimize the risks to children, staff and the community.

We will be in contact with further information regarding permits, absences, and waivers of gap fees for eligible families when the information comes to hand.  We will be preparing take home packs of activities for your children and will advise when they are ready for collection.

As previously advised, Thursday 26 August is a College wide curriculum day and the ELC will not be open.

Please check your emails, Compass and the Doveton College Facebook page, regularly.

Please call the College 8765 0111 during business hours if you need more information.

Thank you for your support during these difficult times and for your contribution to keeping our community safe.  I hope that you and your families continue to stay safe and well.

Kind regards,

Deb Gibson
